Another Ministry Opportunity

Last Sunday, Brent Longenecker, a missionary from the U.S. held a seminar/worshop for the new ministry opportunity that is planned to go on every Saturdays. This activity will focus on every children in the streets, teaching them about God's love, sharing them the gospel.

 
The JIVE Youth Group (Jesus' Inspired Valuing Eternity) was so excited! Even I don't know that there are certain techniques to keep the children's attention in what you are teaching.


The pictures you can see here are the ones taken when Brent was showing us how to draw the alphabet using paint brush. You might think it is easy but it has a "cool technique" that should be applied so the kids will also think what it is.

 

After the letters, Brent showed us how to draw people. We have to know this because as we tell kids stories in the Bible, we can show them illustrations and give them a clue of how the story happend.

I hope and pray that more and more kids will know about how God's love saved us.

Drawing the line between earning money and compromising my stand

Last week I got an email from one of the advertisers in sponsored reviews to make a full positive assessment article about their product. I was thrilled that for the first time, my site was approved for this. I checked out the advertisers' link but to may surprise it was a breast augmentation website. I gave myself days to analyze carefully if taking the job really is worth it, knowing that I have to earn money but would I let myself compromise my stand as a Christian? I got the solid answer when I talked to my mom and the my godly counselor. Filtering the details, I personally don't agree with any part of body enhancement or augmentation and it would be such a ridiculous idea to give a positive review on this. haha.  I won't do it! There are other advertisers there that would book me for the job and God would lead them to me, at the proper time.

Totally Living by Faith

Just this morning, I posted a prayer as my facebook status :

"Make me abs0lutely h0nest and d0n't let me be t0o p0or or t0o rich. GIVE ME JUST WHAT I NEED. If I have t0o much to eat, I might f0rget ab0ut y0u; if I d0n't have en0ugh, I might steal and disgrace Y0ur Name." Pr0verbs 30:8-9

I was surprised when after some 30 minutes passed, my mom handed me 500 Php. Just enough to pay for my books and other school expenses for this week. Wow! Words are not enough to thank my God for being such a provider.

A simple request that was answered while praying

I was washing the dishes one morning when I heard the gate opening. I looked over the window and saw Mama with a cake in hand. She bought this for her post birthday celebration at her school. As she was entering, I was making my breath prayer, "Lord, I hope mama brought some cake for us." I was shocked and amazed by what happened next. In the midst of my request, mama excitedly handed me a plastic with 4 chocolate brownies inside. Wow! Thank you Lord for the wonderful gift. =)

I am significant…

As a youth counselor in JIVE (Jesus Inspired, Valuing Eternity), I was faced with young girls who are trying to cope up with insecurities as I was way back in college. These verses really helped a lot. I hope you get encouraged.
